Zanoviah Walker begins her first season at Dartmouth in 2025-26 after being announced in September of 2025. Walker joins Cimino, Shelby Boyle, Anh-Dao Tran-Lagado and Michaela Nsubuga, who make up the Big Green’s coaching staff.
“We’re excited to welcome Novi to the team,” said Cimino. “She is a tireless worker and has learned under a legendary, winning coach. She played collegiately with our current assistant, Shelby Boyle, and played for one of my most trusted friends in the business. Coach Walker is a good fit for our program and our culture. She will primarily work with our point guards and will assist in recruiting, scouting and player development.”
Walker comes to Dartmouth after serving as assistant coach at Williams College in Massachusetts since 2023. While with the Ephs, she was in charge of the defensive side of the ball, along with the development of guards and overall player development. She coached and assisted in the development of Arianna Gerig, a two-time first team All-NESCAC honoree and two-time Division III Hoops first team All-Region selection. Walker also recruited, coached and developed Micah Walton, who was runner-up for NESCAC Rookie of the Year.
Walker served as recruiting coordinator for the 2024 and 2025 classes, assisted in game scheduling and travel arrangements, managed team equipment orders and more.
"I'm incredibly thrilled to join the Dartmouth College women's basketball family,” said Walker. “I’m looking forward to contributing to the culture that is empowering young women to grow, on and off the court. I'm excited to get to work.”
Prior to Williams, Walker served as graduate assistant at St. Lawrence in New York. She helped lead the Saints to 20 wins for the first time in seven seasons, as they finished 22-5 in 2021-22. She coached the 2021 Liberty League Rookie of the Year Jackie Malley and also recruited eventual 2022 Rookie of the Year Elizabeth Flynn. The Saints had their first conference championship appearance since 2015, beating Skidmore and Vassar in the first round and semifinals, respectively.
Walker was a standout student-athlete at Transylvania University, helping the Pioneers to an 87-18 record and two NCAA Tournaments, including a Sweet 16 appearance in 2019. Transylvania won four conference championships in Walker’s time. Individually, she was a two-time All-Conference honoree, garnering first-team honors in 2021. She was the 2021 HCAC Tournament MVP and Transylvania’s NCAA Woman of the Year nominee.
Walker has also been involved in a number of leadership programs, including the 2025 WBCA Coach to Coach Program, Williams Athletics DEI Committee, NCAA Basketball Coaches Academy and more.
