The New England weather is getting colder as the term winds down. Don’t tell that to this week’s athletes being honored. The two student-athletes are heating up the turf and the ice for the Big Green. First year rugby lock Cindy Taulava scored three tries in the semi-finals of the NIRA championship with a win over Quinnipiac. Meanwhile sophomore Cooper Black is so hot he is almost melting the ice for the men’s hockey team. The 6-8 goaltender made 67 saves over two games with a win and a tie in ECAC action.
Their efforts are rewarded by being named The Richards Group Athletes of the week.
Each week, DartmouthSports.com will spotlight two outstanding student-athletes - one male, one female - as Athletes of the Week. Student-athletes may be chosen based upon their efforts both on and off the field of competition.
