HANOVER, N.H. — The Dartmouth men’s hockey team capped the regular season with a weekend sweep at Thompson Arena while the women’s lacrosse program earned a rivalry win over twin-state rival Vermont. Cooper Flinton and Fiona O’Keeffe were instrumental for their programs this past week.
Their efforts are rewarded by being named The Richards Group Athletes of the Week.
Each week, DartmouthSports.com will spotlight two outstanding student-athlete – one male, one female – as Athletes of the Week. Student-athletes may be chosen based upon their efforts both on and off the field of competition.
Cooper Flinton, So., Auburn, N.H., Men’s Hockey
Flinton tallied three goals in the final weekend of the regular season, helping the Big Green to clinching the four seed in the upcoming ECAC Hockey conference tournament. Flinton scored twice on Friday evening against Brown, scoring a power play goal early in the second period before claiming the game-winner midway through the third. He then scored Dartmouth’s third goal in Saturday’s 4-1 win over Yale.
