Sometimes it is difficult to narrow the field down to one athlete of the week. This week was an example of that with the male honor going to the Varsity eight heavyweight boat. The nine athletes that comprise the boat defeated Holy Cross and MIT in a race that was moved to Hanover from the Boston area. On the women’s side, first-year collegiate lacrosse player Catherine Erb wore out the twine on the goal with seven goals over the course of two games.
Their efforts are rewarded by being named The Richards Group Athletes of the week.
Each week, DartmouthSports.com will spotlight two outstanding student-athletes - one male, one female - as Athletes of the Week. Student-athletes may be chosen based upon their efforts both on and off the field of competition.
