Carinn Bethea enjoyed a tremendous day for women’s swimming and diving in the Big Green’s win over Cornell and narrow loss to Harvard. Bethea was victorious in the 200 freestyle (1:48.82) and 50 freestyle (23.58). Bethea's 200 freestyle time broke a pool record set eight seasons ago and was only 0.5 seconds off her lifetime best). She was also part of the 200 freestyle relay team that was victorious. She also set lifetime bests in the 50 freestyle twice — first in her individual race then in the lead off for the 200 freestyle relay (23.48).
