NEW YORK, N.Y. - Big Green sophomore Lauren Betzing won the 200-yard butterfly and helped the 200-yard freestyle relay team to a second-place finish during the Dartmouth women's swimming and diving's 194-101 loss at Columbia on Sunday.
Also placing first was another of Dartmouth's 200-yard freestyle relay teams, comprised of juniors Mariah Cunnick and Kristin Simunovich, sophomore Lizzie Rippe and freshman Liz Mancuso. Betzing joined with senior Laura Nelson and freshmen Megan Crapster and Katherine Davis on their second-place finish.
Meanwhile, Rippe was one of three individuals to finish second in their events. Rippe was second in the 100-yard butterfly, sophomore Melissa Kern was second in the 200-yard individual medley and junior Kate Brodie was second in both the one- and three-meter diving events.
