NEW HAVEN, Conn. -- Dartmouth sophomore Jamie Wallace (Moorestown, N.J.) finished fifth at Yale's Macdonald Cup, as the Big Green men's golf team was seventh.
Wallace opened with a 73 and then finished with a two-under par 68 for a 36-hole total of 141. Medalist honors went to Dustin Wetherup of Hartford with 67-67--134.
Dartmouth combined for a total of 589 as only nine strokes separated the top seven teams.
Penn won the tournament with 580 with Binghamton second at 581 and Rhode Island third with 582.
Dartmouth junior Matt Uretsky (Linwood, N.J.) shot 78-72--150 and freshman Alex Abate (Augusta, Ga.) matched that with 74-76--150.
Rounding out the Big Green lineup were the senior co-captains Kenan Yount (Augusta, Ga.), 76-75--151, and Chaki Kobayashi (Newington, Conn.), 83-73--156.
Dartmouth's fall season concludes on October 17-18 with the NEIGA (New England Intercollegiate Golf Association) tournament on Cape Cod.
