LAS VEGAS, Nev. -- Sophomore diver Andrew Berry (Middleton, Wis.) paced the Dartmouth men's swimming and diving team at the Las Vegas Invitational, winning both the one- and three-meter dives.
Berry scored 268.5 in the one-meter event, while junior Evan Sparks (Berwyn, Pa.) was second with 252.0. Sophomore Daniel Weisman (Newton, Mass.) was fourth with 202.5.
In three-meter competition, Berry had 266.90 points. Weisman was third with 231.10 and Sparks fourth with 230.10.
The trio combined for 103 of Dartmouth's 340 points in the nine-team meet. The University of Nevada Las Vegas won with 953.
Freshman Kevin Ellis (Centennial, Colo.) was fifth in the 1650, clocking 16:07.86, and ninth in the 500 free in 4:37.56.
Freshman Andrew Ballentine (Pendleton, Ind.) was ninth in the 400 individual medley with a time of 4:13.59.
The Big Green breaks for the holidays before returning to action on January 15 with a meet at Columbia.
