HARTFORD, Conn. -- No. 8 Dartmouth had a tough road trip on Saturday, January 14, dropping a 9-0 decision to No. 1 Trinity and suffering an 8-1 loss at No. 4 Yale.
Against the Bantams, the eight-time defending national champions, the Big Green had one match extended to five games. Sophomore Adam King (Oromocto, N.B.) went the limit at No. 6, 7-9, 9-7, 9-4, 3-9, 7-9.
At Yale, junior Todd Wood (Jamestown, R.I.) picked up the lone victory, defeating the Bulldogs' Nick Chirls in four, 6-9, 9-5, 9-0, 9-2.
Dartmouth puts a 5-3 record on the line at Amherst on Wednesday, January 18.
