Dartmouth Men's Golf Improves to Third
HANOVER, N.H. -- Despite playing in steady rain throughout the day, the Big Green men's golf team moved from fifth up to third place, competing at its own Dartmouth Invitational at Hanover Country Club.
Dartmouth was fifth after Saturday's action with 308, and then had the low score on Sunday, 302, to combine for 610 in the 12-team field.
Binghamton won the team championship with 596, followed by Central Connecticut with 608.
Individually, Dartmouth junior
Jamie Wallace (Moorestown, N.J.) and sophomore
Rob Henley (Longmeadow, Mass.) were tied for seventh place at 152. Wallace shot 77-75, while Henley put up a pair of 76's.
Sophomore Alexander Abate (Augusta, Ga.) was tied for 13th with 77-77--154, and senior co-captain
Stephen Reyes (Lake Forest, Ill.) was tied for 16th, one shot back at 155.
Dartmouth's next tournament is October 7-8 at Yale.
