Dartmouth will host the ITA Northeast Regional Championships at the Alexis Boss Tennis Center and Alan Gordon Pavilion this weekend, beginning on Friday.
Fifty-three schools are sending their best players to Hanover and Dartmouth will have five singles players and two doubles teams competing in the tournament. Also competing will be top-seed Kellie Schmitt of Marshall University; Harvard's Beier Ko, who had a 2004 #299 WTA Tour ranking and Harvard freshman Lena Litvak, who competed in the 2006 junior Wimbledon and junior U.S. Open tournaments.
The ITA singles qualifier kicks off Friday at 9 a.m., with Dartmouth freshmen Jesse Adler and Carley Markovitz both in action at 9. They will be followed by fellow freshman Mary Beth Winingham at 10 a.m. and senior co-captain Kerry Snow at 12 noon.
Main draw play begins Saturday, with doubles starting at 8 a.m. and then followed by singles. Competing for Dartmouth will be the teams of Jesse Adler-Kerry Snow Mary Beth and Lindsay Winingham and Jamie Caplan-Carley Markovitz. Lindsay Winingham will also be playing a main draw singles match on Saturday. Dartmouth's Saturday starting times have not yet been determined.
