PATTERSON, Calif. -- Senior Chaki Kobayashi (Newington, Conn.) was 27th for the Dartmouth men's golf team that wrapped up play Tuesday at the Diablo Grande Invitational hosted by Drake.
Kobayashi shot 82-82-76--240 as Dartmouth was seventh in the seven-team field. The Big Green combined for a 54-hole total of 982, playing at the Diablo Grande Ranch Course. Fresno State won the championship with 908, five strokes ahead of Cal Poly.
Junior Matt Uretsky (Linwood, N.J.) competed as an individual for Dartmouth, finishing tied for 28th with 84-80-77--241.
Freshman Rob Henley (Longmeadow, Mass.) was tied for 35th with 81-87-78--246.
Rounding out the scoring for Dartmouth were sophomore Jamie Wallace (Moorestown, N.J.), 84-84-80--248; senior Kenan Yount (Augusta, Ga.), 81-87-82--250; and junior Stephen Reyes (Lake Forest, Ill.), 85-86-81--252.
Dartmouth's other individual competitor was freshman Alexander Olshonsky (Rockville, Md.) with 90-82-83--255.
The Big Green's next tournament is April 8-9 at Yale.
