VERNON, N.J. -- The Dartmouth men's golf team finished tied for sixth at the annual Ivy League Championship that concluded Sunday at Ballyowen Country Club.
Despite rain on Sunday, the Big Green scored its lowest round of the 54-hole tournament. With 304, Dartmouth's score was 940, matching Harvard.
Princeton won its third title in a row and sixth in the last seven years with 895, just a single shot ahead of Columbia. Brown was third at 917, Penn fourth with 918 and Yale fifth at 929. Cornell rounded out the eight-team field at 960.
Junior Matt Uretsky (Linwood, N.J.) was the Big Green's low finisher with 78-73-78--229, which put him in a tie for 12th.
Also representing Dartmouth were senior Kenan Yount (Augusta, Ga.), 237; sophomore Jamie Wallace (Moorestown, N.J.), 238; senior Chaki Kobayashi (Newington, Conn.), 239; and freshman Rob Henley (Longmeadow, Mass.), 243.
The Big Green wraps up the 2006 season at the Rhode Island Invitational on April 29-30.
