PORTSMOUTH, R.I. -- Dartmouth sophomore Jamie Wallace (Moorestown, R.I.) finished in a tie for second at the Rhode Island Spring Invitational that concluded Sunday.
Competing at Green Valley Country Club, Wallace fired rounds of 77-72--149, just one shot out of first place. Austin Luher of Army was the medalist with 75-73--148.
As a team, Dartmouth was third with 630. The Big Green held the first day lead with 311, one ahead of Binghamton. In Sunday's action, Binghamton pulled ahead into the top spot with a 299, good for 611. Host Rhode Island was second with 626.
Rounding out the scoring for the Big Green were senior Chaki Kobayashi (Newington, Conn.), 77-83--160; junior Matt Uretsky (Linwood, N.J.), 76-85--161; junior Steve Reyes (Lake Forest, Ill.), 81-80--161; and senior Kenan Yount (Augusta, Ga.), 86-84--170.
The tournament was the last of the season for Dartmouth.
