NEW HAVEN, Conn. -- The Dartmouth men's golf team posted a strong second place finish last weekend, competing at the Yale Spring Opener on Saturday and Sunday.
The Big Green combined for an 18-hole score of 305, just three back of Oklahoma Christian University in the 20-team field.
Scoring for Dartmouth were senior co-captain Kenan Yount (Augusta, Ga.) with a three-over par 73, and senior co-captain Chaki Kobayashi (Newington, Conn.) with a 76. Junior Matt Uretsky (Linwood, N.J.) and freshman Rob Henley (Longmeadow, Mass.) both shot 78.
Sophomore Jamie Wallace (Moorestown, N.J.) added a 79.
The tournament was reduced to 18 holes on Sunday after rain washed out Saturday's play.
The Big Green competes on April 14-15, traveling to the District 1 Championship in Rhode Island.
