Father and Son Will Have Rare Meeting Tonight

Hanover -- Terry Dunn began his high school coaching career before his only son, Arin, was born.
While Arin was attending preschool, Dad made the leap to college coaching, with all the commensurate frequent-flyer mileage that came along with it. The elder Dunn missed Arin's senior year at Broomfield (Colo.) High in exchange for accepting his first collegiate head-coaching post, 2,000 miles away.
Terry Dunn is now the third-year coach at Dartmouth, and Arin Dunn is a freshman walk-on at the University of New Hampshire. Tonight at 7, father and son will finally share the same gym -- seated on opposing benches -- when the Big Green and Wildcats hug it out in Leede Arena.
Seriously, can this get any more “Cat's in the Cradle?” Harry Chapin's 1974 song about a busy father and a son who grows up too fast should replace the national anthem before the game.
