The Dartmouth men and women's squash teams posted shutout victories against Amherst College, Wed, Jan. 16. The Amherst Lord Jeffs had home court advantage, but it made no difference, as they were facing a national powerhouse in the Big Green. The final score for both matches was 9-0.
Coach John Power of Dartmouth expressed after the matches that “Although we handled Amherst relatively easily, a few of their men put up close games against us. Overall, everybody played well.”
The Dartmouth women played exceptionally well against Amherst while not giving up a single game. Every Big Green women won three games to none.
The next action for the Big Green will be Sat, Jan 19, against fellow powerhouse and Ivy League foe, Yale.
