The Dartmouth men begin this season against last year's Ivy League rivals Cornell and last season's EISL Champion Harvard in Cambridge, Mass. Saturday, Novermber 15, before travelling to Hamilton, N.Y. to compete against Colgate on Sunday.
The Big Green have grown in the past year, adding 11 freshmen to their roster along with a great deal of strength.
Dartmouth is led by senior captain Andrew Ballentine, a talented, versatile threat in many stroke events, along with senior Kevin Ellis, school record holder in several events. They are joined by the speed and versatility of sophomores Marco Chu and Jonathan Panzl in fly and freestyle events, along with the promise of several strong freshmen, including Mickey Ahern, swimming back and free, sprint freestyler, John Hill, breaststroker, Matt Stumpf, and divers Michael Brown and Chris Plante.
Head Coach Jim Wilson is optimistic about the start of this season: "The mix of proven performers in the seniors through the exhuberent enthusiasm of the freshmen make this opening weekend very exciting. This team is ready to begin this season and very ready to compete."
