WILLIAMSBURG, Va. ? The Dartmouth women's golf team finished in 15th place on Sunday, the final day of the First Market Bank Intercollegiate Tournament at the College of William and Mary.
While the frosty conditions delayed play and made the course more difficult for the players, freshman
Katharine Gulemi (Fairfield, Conn.) gave a magnificent performance, going four over par for 76 points, tied for first overall on the day. Her score lifted her from a 21st place position after yesterday's play to sixth overall, sharing the position with Marshall University's Andrea Grier.
Senior
Libby Wegener (Shorewood, Minn.) and junior
Lauren Strickler (Akron, Ohio) finished at 69th and 79th respectively.
Tory Sheppard (Fishers, Ind.) finished in 88th place, and senior
Elizabeth Dupuy (Phoenix, Ariz.) was 92nd.
Dartmouth took 15th place with 665 points, one behind University of Detroit Mercy's 664, and one ahead of University of Richmond, which had 666 points.
Bradley University's Bari-Lynn Erais was the top golfer of the tournament, going two over par with 146 points over the two days of play, but Marshall University took first place among the schools.
The Big Green will next play in the Dartmouth Triangular in Hatchville, Mass. on April 5-6.
