NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Senior Mary Beth Winingham won all three of her matches to lead the Dartmouth women's tennis team on day one of the ITA Northeast Regional at Yale University.
Winingham teamed with junior Molly Scott (Trabuco Canyon, Calif.) for two doubles victories, then defeated Jackie Mabatah from Boston College 6-1, 6-3. Senior co-captain Jesse Adler (Winnetka, Ill.) and freshman Sarah Leonard (Norwalk, Conn.) won their first doubles match against LIU, but were then defeated by a team from Rutgers, while senior co-captain Julia Zak (Bernardsville, N.J.) and sophomore Carissa King (Charlotte, N.C.) fell in the first round to a team from Brown.
