HANOVER, N.H. – Head coach Amy Fowler and the Dartmouth field hockey program has announced that the Big Green will be welcoming six new members to the fold in the incoming freshman class of 2014.
Sam Anderson
Deerfield Academy/Wilton, Conn.
Before Dartmouth: Lettered in three sports at Deerfield Academy … spent four years on the field hockey team and was a two-time New England Prep School Athletic Conference All Star … broke the school record for assists in a season with 21 in 2008 … named to the White Mountain Sports All-Star Team as a senior … also played four years of ice hockey and lacrosse at Deerfield … won the 7th Player Award for the ice hockey team in 2008.
Personal: Samantha Kate Anderson was born on November 21, 1991 … daughter of Rick and Jenny Anderson … has a brother and two sisters … great uncle, Hank Waters, is the Class of 1952 and played ice hockey for the Big Green … father played ice hockey at Hamilton College … was the chair of the Student Programs Committee … a dorm proctor and head tour guide … led the Deerfield Sister Program and was an Alumni Student Representative.

Before Dartmouth: Played three years of field hockey at Ottawa Hills High School … named her team's Best Offensive Player in 2009 … three-time Academic All-Ohio and earned National All-Academic honors last season … ran track for three years at Ottawa Hills as well.
Personal: Christine Elizabeth Auberle was born on December 31, 1991 … daughter of James Auberle and Maryanne Tsivitse … has one sister … member of the National Honor Society and National Junior Honor Society … coached fifth and sixth graders at the Ottawa Hills Field Hockey Camp.
