Peter Williamson (Hanover, N.H.) finished with a three-over par 74 in the second round of the 2009 Northeast Regional, six strokes off of his first-round score. After two days, Williamson is 12 shots behind the leader with a score of 154 (80-74).
Williamson sank two birdies early to pick up two strokes but quickly gave them back as he bogeyed holes six, seven and eight. He scored his third birdie on the ninth hole to make the turn with par.
Williamson could not keep the momentum up on the back nine. He scored one birdie but bogeying three out the last four holes to end the day with a 74, three strokes over par.
John Hahn of Kent State overtook the lead with a four-under par performance on day two. Darren Renwick of the University of Tennessee, the leader after the first 18 holes, and Dan Woltman from the University of Wisconsin sit one stroke back with scores of 143.
The final round will be played on Saturday with the medalist advancing to the finals, hosted by the University of Toledo at the Inverness Club May 26-30.
