Dartmouth Men's Squash Hosts Three Matches Over the Weekend

HANOVER, N.H. - The Dartmouth men's squash team hosted three matches over the weekend. The Big Green dropped an Ivy match to Cornell on Saturday and fell to Rochester on Sunday before before rebounding against Middlebury later that day.

Against the Big Red, Dartmouth earned wins at No. 1, No. 2 and No. 7 but fell 6-3. The Big Green is still looking for its first league win of the season.Chris Hanson (Greenwich, Conn.) was a winner at the top spot for Dartmouth. He defeated Alex Domenick in four. Hanson won the first, 11-6 but lost the second 11-4 only to rebound and smoke Domencik in the third, 11-0. Nick Sisodia (Chicago, Ill.) improved to 4-4 on the season with his win at the second spot. He defeated Charlie Wagner in four while Luke Lee (Exeter, N.H.) was the other winner at No. 7. Lee defeated Amar Gupta in four games. Lee was Dartmouth's top player on the weekend as he was victorious in all three of his matches.

On Sunday Dartmouth lost to Rochester, 7-2 to open the day, dropping the Big Green to 6-5 (0-3 Ivy) on the season. Lee at No. 7 and Dan Wagman (Pacific Palisades, Calif.) at No. 9 were the only two Dartmouth players who recorded victories against the Yellow Jackets.

Dartmouth rebounded to defeat Middlebury, 9-0 in the second match of the day. The Big Green had only two spots lose a game while seven were victorious, 3-0. Lee, playing at No. 5 lost his first game to Eliot Jia but came back to take the next three. Jack Barrett (Riverside, Conn.) at No. 8 had a tough time with Simon Keyes but the Big Green sophomore was able to come away with his first career win.

Dartmouth will be back in action on Jan. 31 with a pair of matches against Bates and Bowdoin.
