HANOVER, N.H. – Dartmouth senior Virginia Peisch (Koenigstein, Germany) has been selected to participate and head coach Amy Fowler has been asked to coach, in the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFCHA) Division I Senior Game. The game will be played on Saturday, November 20th at the University of Maryland.
This year's Senior Game participants will face off against the U.S. Women's National Team as well as against each other in a series of four, 25 minute sessions. Peisch will be playing for the home team and will play a session against the away squad and then against the US National team before playing the away squad again.
Peisch is the first player selected for Dartmouth since Lizzie Bildner in 2007 and it's the first time Fowler has been asked to coach. She will be coaching the home squad with Denise Zelenak from Drexel. Peisch and Catie De Stio from Cornell are the only two players selected from the Ivy League and are two of 38 seniors that will be participating.
In 66 career games, Peisch registered 10 goals, 55 assists and 75 points. She became Dartmouth's all-time assist leader early in the season and broke the record for most assists in a season.
