HANOVER, N.H. – The second to last weekend of Ivy League field hockey games proved to be one full of late game heroics and comeback bids. Dartmouth's Lisa Masini (Ann Arbor, Mich.) earned her first career Ivy League player of the week honors as the sophomore helped the Big Green take an overtime victory over Harvard and was named co-player with Brown's Leslie Springmeyer.
The defense/midfielder netted the overtime game winner on homecoming to help the Big Green win its third league game of the season. Then the next day she helped her team to a 9-4 drubbing of twin-state rival Vermont by scoring one goal and three assists in Dartmouth's last home game of the season.
Her goal against the Catamounts proved to be the game winner, as it gave the Big Green a 3-2 lead it would not relinquish. For the season she has 15 points with four goals and seven assists.
She is the third Dartmouth player to earn Player of the Week honors this season, joining Kelly Hood (Sept. 28) and Kelly McHenry (Oct. 12).
