HANOVER, N.H. - Seniors Ari Sussman (New Haven, Conn.) and Casey Hingtgen (Carlsbad, Calif.) were named to the 2010 New England Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association All-New England Team on Wednesday.
Sussman was selected as an attackman, while Hingtgen made the team on the defensive end. Both players were one of four competitors at their respective position.
Hingtgen has been a mainstay on the Dartmouth defense for his entire career. He has appeared in 37 games with 34 starts. Last season, he missed seven games due to a leg injury and still came back to earn second team All-Ivy honors for the second straight season. In his career, Hingtgen has four goals for four points and 115 ground balls.
Sussman enters his final season with 119 career points, which is 16th all-time with the Big Green. His 72 goals are 21st on the scoring list in 42 games. He has started every game appeared in and has 82 ground balls in three seasons. Sussman missed three games last year with a wrist injury and came back with 12 goals and 10 assists for 22 points. In his three years in Hanover, he has garnered first team All-Ivy honors and was the Ivy League Rookie of the Year back in 2007.
