PRINCETON, N.J.—The Ivy League announced its men's lacrosse All-Ivy teams on Thursday. Four Big Green players earned All-Ivy honors as Will Cohen was named All-Ivy Second Team while Thomas Goguen, Alex Jessey, and Emmett Paradine were All-Ivy Honorable Mentions. Goguen was also named Academic All-Ivy.
Cohen wrapped up his junior season with the Big Green by playing in 13 games and recording a pair of goals and four assists as a long stick midfielder. The Bethesda, Md. native scooped up 46 ground balls which is team high for non-faceoff specialists. Against Penn on Mar. 28 he collected a career high seven ground balls while also causing a turnover. He collected five or more ground balls on five occasions this season. In his 27 career games he has scooped up 65 ground balls while causing 24 turnovers.
Goguen earns his third straight All-Ivy honor as he closes out his Dartmouth career. He played and started in all 13 games this season for the Big Green as he anchored the Dartmouth defense that finished eighth in the country in caused turnovers. He caused 25 turnovers this season which led the Ivy League, he finished his career with 74 caused turnovers. The history major recorded 40 ground balls this season and finishes his career with 141.
Jessey led the Big Green in scoring in his sophomore season as he nabs his first All-Ivy honor. He scored 31 times while adding 19 assists and tallied five hat-tricks. Against Merrimack on Feb. 24 he scored four times while adding four assists for a career high eight points. After scoring against Boston University in the season opener he went on to have at least a point in every game and at least one goal in all but one game.
Paradine earned his third All-Ivy honor of his career after being named Ivy League Rookie of the Year in 2023 and All-Ivy last season. The midfielder scored 12 times this season as he played 11 games while making nine starts. Along with 12 goals he added five assists, six ground balls and one caused turnover. He closes out his four-year career with 49 games played, 37 starts, 55 goals, and 29 assists.
