A fast varsity eight race was the finale of the day, with the crews rowing in an outgoing tide. Brown broke the six-minute mark with a time of 5:58.56 ahead of Dartmouth in 6:11.84.
The first three races of the day were contested on an incoming tide, a full 90 minutes before the varsity eight race was able to be contested.
The second varsity eight race also went to Brown, which took an early lead en route to a finishing time of 6:45.24 head of Dartmouth in 7:00.57. Brown also won the third varsity eight race, with its third boat taking first in 7:21.08 and the fourth boat taking second in 7:37.96. The Big Greeen took third in a time of 8:08.39.
Dartmouth's rookies also fell to Brown, with the freshman eight crossing the line in 7:23.29 behind the Bears in 7:09.53.
The Big Green is on the road yet again next weekend, heading to Boston to race MIT and Wisconsin for the Cochrane Cup.
