Williamson Earns First-Team All-Ivy Again

HANOVER, N.H. — Dartmouth sophomore Peter Williamson (Hanover, N.H.) earned a spot on the All-Ivy first team for men's golf by virtue of tying for fourth place at the Ivy League Championships held this past weekend at Baltusrol Golf Course in Springfield, N.J. The top five finishers at the championships are selected for the first team. Williamson has been named to the first team in each of his two seasons with the Big Green, having won the Ivy individual title as a freshman last year.
Williamson was strong all year round for the Big Green, placing among the top 10 in six of Dartmouth's seven tournaments during the fall and spring. Three times he finished in fourth place — at the Dartmouth Invitational last fall out of 71 participants; at the Yale Invitational at the beginning of April out of 66 players; and at the Ivy Championships out of 40 golfers.
For the year, Williamson never shot higher than a 76 in any round with a low of 68, and had a stroke average of 71.6, slightly more than one-over par in each of his 18 rounds.
