Okuda Gets Knocked out of ITA Northeast Regionals

NEW HAVEN, CONN. — Freshman Akiko Okuda (Tenafly, N.J.) lost her Round of 32 match to Hanna Yu of Yale on Sunday, which ended her run at the ITA Northeast Regional.
Okuda won two matches to advance to the Round of 32, but could not continue the winning on Sunday. She won the opening set against Yu, 6-3. Yu came back and won the final two sets, 6-4, 6-1, to win the match.
The Big Green return home for the Dartmouth Invitational on Nov. 4-6 for its final tournament of the fall.
