CAMBRIDGE, MASS. — The Dartmouth men's tennis team had the doubles team of junior Mike Jacobs (Oak Park, Ill.) and sophomore John Kelly (Charlottesville, Va.) win the doubles A draw, and freshman Andrés Isaza (Bogotá, Colombia) win the singles B Draw at the Harvard Halloween Invitational on Sunday.
The combo of Jacobs and Kelly defeated the three seed from Brown in the first round on Saturday. On Sunday, the duo beat the second seed from Harvard, 9-8, and then won the finals later on Sunday against a team from Harvard, 9-7.
In the flight B singles draw, Isaza claimed the top spot with a walkover win in the finals. The draw's fourth seed won his first round match on Friday in straight sets. On Saturday, he bested John Thornton from Harvard, 6-1, 6-1, and then defeated David Neff from Brown, 6-3, 2-6, 6-4.
The Big Green take the rest of the fall off and will resume play during the indoor season in the end of January.
