Edler & Williamson Sit in Second and Fourth at the McLaughlin

FARMINGDALE, N.Y. — The Dartmouth men's golf team began its fall season at the McLaughlin hosted by St. John's on Friday. After day one of the two-day event, the Big Green are tied for third place with two players in the top five.

Freshman Charles Edler (Fair Haven, N.J.) is tied for second at 5-under-par with a 135. Senior Peter Williamson (Hanover, N.H.) is tied for fourth at four-under-par with a 136. The Big Green as a team are tied for third at two-over-par with a 562.

West Florida leads the competition at 12-under-par with a team score of 548. Carlos Rodriguez of West Florida is the top individual after two rounds with an 11-under-par 129.

Williamson moved back up the leaderboard in the second round of the tournament with a 63 in his second 18. The score was the lowest round of any golfer so far at the competition.

The tournament concludes on Saturday, Sept. 17, with one round, starting at 7:40 a.m.
