HANOVER, N.H. — The Sailing World's College Rankings came out on Thursday, and the Dartmouth women's sailing team jumped to sixth (144 points). The coed sailing team is ranked 14th (160 points).
The women's team made the jump after taking the top spot at the Women's Regis Bowl this past weekend. In the 16-team event, the Big Green scored 45 points after placing first in both the A and B Divisions. Dartmouth was previously ranked 11th. Yale sits in the top spot with 240 total points and nine first-place votes.
The coed team moved up one spot in the latest poll to 14th. The Big Green won the Salt Pond Invitational this past weekend with a team score of 79 points. Charleston is first in the rankings with 348 points and 16 first-place votes.
The sailing team's big event this weekend, Oct. 1-2, is the Danmark Trophy hosted by the Coast Guard Academy.
