HANOVER, N.H. – The Dartmouth men's golf team completed its fall season with a 12th place finish at the Rod Myers Invitational at the Duke University Golf Course.
After a thunderstorm suspended play yesterday, the tournament was reformatted to 36-hole invitational. Dartmouth finished the opening round and was midway through the second round before play was halted.
The Big Green finished play scoring a 612 (304-308). The team had 91 even pars and 22 birdies. East Carolina was the team medalist carding a team-low 561 (281-280). North Carolina dropped to second place and Baylor finished third. East Carolina's George Kilgore was the individual medalist and shot a 137 (68-69).
Senior Charlie Edler was Dartmouth's top performer carding a seven-over par 151 (76-75). He moved up seven spots during the second round and finished with 19 pars and six birdies.
Freshman Ian Kelsey and sophomore Scott Jaster both tied for 49th, scoring a 153 each. Kelsey had 18 pars and six birdies, while Jaster finished one-under on par three scoring and finished with 19 pars and five birdies.
Freshman Edric Wung and junior Charles Cai rounded out the Big Green individuals. Wung finished tied for 60th and was 13 over par, while Cai finished tied for 69th.
