Men's Heavyweight Rowing Finishes Second at the Olympic Axe Event

ERBY, CONN. – The Dartmouth men's heavyweight rowing team competed against Yale at the Olympic Axe on Saturday morning.
Dartmouth finished in second place in all three events to the Bulldogs. In a highly contested 2nd Varsity 8 race, the Bulldogs narrowly defeated the Big Green by three seconds, 5:41.6 to 5:44.6.
In the 3V/4V, Dartmouth's 3V lost by two seconds, 5:47.6 to 5:49.7. The Dartmouth 4V boat finished in 5:59.2.
In the Varsity 8 race, Yale easily won the race, 5:27.6 to 5:39.5.
The Big Green will host the Bill Cup next weekend against Boston U. and Rutgers next Saturday along the Connecticut River.
