DEDHAM, Mass. – Two goals separated by less than four minutes was the only scoring Friday afternoon as Northeastern defeated the Dartmouth field hockey team, 2-0, at Dedham Field.
Twin sisters Marisa Dunn and Kelly Dunn notched the lone tallies of the game just over midway through the second half to help the Huskies to their 11th win in the 13-game history of matchups between the two New England programs.

Marisa got the home team on the board first in the 55th minute and was matched by twin Kelly in the 58th.
The Big Green were stifled offensively — attempting just three shots in the game — falling to 0-4 overall this season with the loss.
Northeastern evened its record at 2-2 with the win, controlling the tempo in the process as it outshot Dartmouth, 14-3, and held a 7-3 advantage in penalty corners.
Senior goalkeeper Ellen Meyer recorded six saves in the game with four coming in the second half. At the other end of the field, Becky Garner stopped both Big Green attempts on goal to earn the victory.
Dartmouth had a chance to make it a one-goal game late in the contest as the Huskies' Vanessa Pryor was issued a green card. However, the visitors were unable to find the back of the cage and were handed their fourth setback to open the season.
The Big Green will have a bit of a respite, as they don't play again until Saturday, Sept. 20 when they travel to Princeton to take on the nine-time defending Ivy League Champion Tigers at noon.
