HANOVER, N.H. – The Dartmouth men's golf team finished the Quechee Club Invitational in seventh “B” and ninth “A” place carding a 600 and 610, respectively.
The Big Green “B” team bounced from fifth place after the first day down to seventh place after shooting a 307 in the weekend finale. The Big Green “A” squad finished where they started the day and shot a 610.
Harvard picked up the team medal shooting a 574 (289-285). Hartford was tied after the first 18 holes, but finished the event shooting a 582 (289-293).
Austin Powell jumped from fifth place to medalist, carding a 140 (71-69). Powell's three-under tied Yale's Hale Furey for the lowest score of the final round. Paul Pastore and Greg Royston tied for second with a 142.
Edric Wung began the final round in second place but finished tied for fourth, shooting a 143 (69-74). Charlie Edler tied for 14th with a 147 (74-73).
Charles Cai shot a 76 in the final round and finished in 25th place. Scott Jaster tied for 33rd shooting a 152.
Dartmouth will participate in the Macdonald Cup next weekend in New Haven, Conn.
