No. 8 Men's Squash Succumbs to No. 4 Rochester, 7-2

NEW HAVEN, Conn. — The No. 8 Dartmouth men's squash team fell to No. 4 Rochester, 7-2, on Sunday afternoon at Yale's Brady Squash Courts.

Dartmouth's defeat drops the Big Green to 2-5 this season, but the squad will have the opportunity to turn their luck around with four consecutive home matches coming up.

Senior Bayard Kuensell and sophomore George Henderson were the only two performers to secure match wins on Sunday playing in positions eight and nine, respectively.

Kuensell's four-game win over Xiaomin Meng, saw the Haverford, Pennsylvania, native break a 1-1 tie with two consecutive game wins to secure the decision.

Henderson was in the same boat, as his teammate needed a fourth game to pick up the win. Henderson led 2-0 but dropped the third game, then rallied for the match win in the fourth.

Junior James Fisch and sophomore Glen Brickman forced a fifth game in each of their respective matches, but fell late in the match.

Dartmouth will host Bates next Sunday, Jan. 25 at the Berry Squash Courts at noon.
