HANOVER, N.H. – On the second day of the Dartmouth Invitational, the Big Green men's tennis team went 6-1 in singles and 2-1 in doubles action.
Sophomore Max Fliegner defeated Buffalo's Pablo Alvarez, 6-2, 6-1, while classmate Aman Agarwal had a 6-2, 6-3 defeat of Army West Point's Austin McCasin. Freshman Joey Haig went to three sets against Buffalo's Akhil Mehta, winning the first and third by scores of 6-0, 6-0, but narrowly falling in the second, 7-6.
In doubles, junior Max Schmidt and freshman Roko Glasnovic had an 8-6 win over Miller and Mehta. Haig and fellow freshman Eddie Grabill had a very close match against Ethan Nittolo and Alvarez of Buffalo, but were able to pick up an 8-7 win.
The Big Green will compete in six singles and three doubles matches on the final day of the Dartmouth Invitational Sunday.
