Men's Tennis Wraps Up Day Three of Dartmouth Invitational

HANOVER, N.H. –Men's tennis wrapped up play on the third day of the Dartmouth Invitational on Sunday. Throughout the weekend, the Big Green went 14-7 in singles and 9-1 in doubles.

“I want to thank all the teams that came to play this weekend,” head coach Chris Drake said. “We had really strong and fair competition all weekend and that was a pleasure to watch. Overall, the weekend was another step forward for our guys and our program. Today in particular, we were tested by some top players and we responded well and learned some things that we need to do to keep improving and raising our level. We will take a little time to recover, get healthy and begin training for Regionals at Yale.”

Freshman Roko Glasnovic won the fourth flight in singles, defeating Sergio Arevalillo of Buffalo, 6-3, 6-3, while classmate Joey Haig had a 6-3, 7-6 win over Williams' Deepack Indrakanti. Sophomore Aman Agarwal had a 6-0, 6-4 win over Fairfield's Ofir Solomon.

In doubles action, Glasnovic paired up with senior Max Schmidt to win their second round match over Tarwid and Garcia of Brown by a score of 8-5. Haig and Grabill were victorious in the third round with an 8-6 victory over the Bears' Sandberg and Arocho, while Agarwal and classmate Max Fliegner had an 8-6 win over Yale's Photiades and Brown. Haig is now 8-0 in doubles this season.

The Green will have less than two weeks until they head to Connecticut for the ITA Northeast Regional Championship.
