WILLISTON, Vt. – The Dartmouth equestrian team finished the second show of the season in third place out of 11 teams on Sunday, Oct. 11 at Vermont.
The Big Green missed out on second place by just one point.
It was a day of individual success, with strong performances from freshmen riders Olivia Champ (second in open flat and open fences) and Erin McCarthy Keeler (first in her debut round of novice fences), as well as junior Charlotte Johnstone (second in walk trot).
Senior Lindsay Seewald proved just as competitive after moving up to open the previous day at Midlebury, coming second in her fences class and winning on the flat.
As a whole, the team amassed a collection of second-place ribbons, with further contributions from senior Anna Knowles (intermediate fences), juniors Meaghan Haugh (intermediate fences) and Christiana Salvatori '17 (novice flat) and sophomore Nathalie Ferneau (advanced walk trot canter).
