THIS WEEKEND
Dartmouth women's hockey will host ECAC Hockey rivals Rensselaer and Union, facing the Engineers at 7 p.m. on Friday and the Dutchwomen at 4 p.m. the following day. After this weekend, the Big Green will be on the road for five consecutive games and will not return to Thompson Arena until Dec. 12.
LAST TIME OUT
At its first of three consecutive home games, Dartmouth was defeated by Maine, 4-1, on Tuesday. Morgan Turner scored the home team's lone goal of the day and she and Kennedy Ottenbreit ended the night with a point apiece. The Green outshot the Black Bears, 12-4, in the first period and did not allow the visitors their first attempt until 11:30, at which point Dartmouth had a 9-1 shot advantage. At 19:09, Catherine Tufts got past multiple Big Green players to get Maine on the board. The Black Bears got two ahead at 2:32 in the second with an Audra Richards marker on a breakaway, but Dartmouth cut that lead to one when Turner got her first of the season and just the second goal of her career at 5:48, picking up Ottenbreit's deflected puck and putting it in the left corner of the net. Maine increased its lead to two once again with an Eve Boissoneault wrister from the top of the circles at 2:49 in the third period. Tufts almost got her second of the game with her shot at 11:15 that hit the right pipe, traveled behind netminder Christie Honor and exited the left side of the cage. Richards made it a 4-1 game with her second tally of the night at 15:54. The Green outshot the Black Bears, 27-16. Neither team was able to score on the power play, as Maine went 0-for-2 and Dartmouth was 0-for-3. Honor appeared between the pipes for the entire game, making 12 saves in all. Maine's Mariah Fujimagari earned her first win of the season, stopping 26 shots.
SCOUTING RPI
Although the Engineers dropped their first three games of the season (one to Montreal, two to North Dakota), they have gone 4-2-1 in their last seven contests to enter Friday's game with a record of 4-5-1. Last weekend, they hosted St. Lawrence and Clarkson, falling to the Saints, 2-0, before picking up a 2-1 victory over the Golden Knights. Alexa Gruschow and Mari Mankey are tied for first on the team with seven points each. Gruschow has four goals and three assists, while Mankey has scored a trio of markers and tacked on four helpers.
LAST TIME AGAINST THE ENGINEERS
Dartmouth went 2-0 against RPI during the 2014-15 season. In the third home game of the season, the Green defeated the Engineers, 5-2. On the road in January, Dartmouth shutout RPI, 3-0.
SCOUTING UNION
The Dutchwomen have not been having quite as much luck on the ice thus far this season, as they enter the weekend with a record of 0-7-4. Since opening conference play two weeks ago, they tied both Colgate and Cornell by scores of 2-2 and fell to Clarkson (6-0) and St. Lawrence (2-1). Kathryn Tomasell and Jessica Kaminsky are first on the team with five points, as Tomasell has four goals and an assist and Kaminsky has a pair of tallies and three helpers.
LAST TIME AGAINST THE DUTCHWOMEN
The Green also had two victories against Union last season. On Halloween, they defeated the Dutchwomen on home ice, 3-0, to earn their first shutout of the season and, on Jan. 10, Dartmouth had a 3-1 win on the road.
LEADING THE WAY
Since the early parts of the season, Lindsey Allen (4G, 2A) and Laura Stacey (3G, 3A) have been tied for the team lead with six points, but now we can add Ottenbreit in there as well with her two markers and four helpers. All three Big Green forwards ended last season first on the team with 26 points.
AND IN NET…
Christie Honor played her first full game against Maine on Tuesday, making 12 saves in the loss. After opening her collegiate career in the first period of the 3-3 draw against Clarkson on Halloween, she has made 17 saves and has a .708 save percentage in 77 minutes of action. Through five games so far this season, starting netminder Robyn Chemago has made 109 saves in 290 minutes and has a .940 save percentage.. Dartmouth's third goaltender this season is Shannon Ropp, who has not yet entered a game.

WHAT'S NEXT?
Almost two weeks will pass before the Big Green's next contests, which will be big ones, for sure. On Nov. 27-28, Dartmouth will head to the Badger State to play a pair of games against Wisconsin, the number one team in the country. The puck will drop at 8 p.m. on Friday and 4 p.m. on Saturday.
