Sakinis Defeats UCLA's Redlicki in Consolation

FLUSHING, N.Y. – Senior Dovydas Sakinis returned to the court for day two of the USTA/ITA National Indoor Intercollegiate Championship on Friday by winning his consolation round match.
The Big Green player took out UCLA's Martin Redlicki by defeating the Bruin by scores of 6-1, 6-4.
“Dovydas played a focused match today against a tricky player,” head coach Chris Drake said. “He made some good improvements from his match yesterday – which was also a good match against one of the nation's best players – and hopefully, he will build on things again tomorrow. Overall, we are thrilled to be here at such an elite event, where each match is such a great opportunity for Dovydas to test himself against great competition.”
Sakinis will be back at it on Saturday.
