Matthew Giegerich Named Harrow Sports Player of the Week

HANOVER, N.H. – After recording the decisive game-winning point against second-ranked Harvard, Dartmouth men's squash's Matthew Giegerich was named Harrow Sports College Player of the Week.
With the overall score tied 4-4, the match came down to Gigerich's showdown with Madhav Dhingra. In the fifth game of the match, Gigerich established the lead twice, but could not put away his Crimson opponent. After going up 12-11, Gigerich closed out his game and the match with a forehand drop shot to take the final game, 13-11.
It was the first victory for the Big Green over Harvard in nearly 70 years.
Since the win over the Crimson, Dartmouth won three straight before falling to top ranked Trinity. The Big Green return to the court on Saturday, Jan. 9 to take on Princeton at home.
