HANOVER, N.H. – The Dartmouth men's swimming and diving team looks to continue with its record-breaking ways as it heads into the 2015 Ivy League Championship, which will take place at Princeton's DeNunzio Pool from Thursday through Saturday, Feb. 26-28.
The Big Green will be represented by 17 swimmers and three divers, who will compete in the three-day, six-session meet and look to improve on their six-place finish at last year's championship.
Seeded well for Dartmouth are James Verhagen (fourth, 100 back; third, 200 back), David Harmon (seventh, 100 fly), Logan Briggs (ninth, 100 breast), and Taylor Clough (eighth, 1-meter).
The Green fared well in January, winning the Dartmouth Invite by almost 300 points and defeating UConn at its penultimate dual meet of the year. At the Dartmouth Invite, three Upper Valley Aquatic Center pool records fell at the hands of Big Green swimmers: the 200-yard medley relay (1:32.90), 100-yard butterfly (Harmon, 49.21), and 100-yard freestyle (Ian Woon, 45.90).
Day one of the meet will commence at 11 a.m. on Thursday with the swimming of the 500-yard freestyle.
