No. 62 Women's Tennis Opens ECAC Championship This Weekend

HANOVER, N.H. – With the season now in full swing, the No. 62 Dartmouth women's tennis team will travel to Ithaca, New York, for the ECAC Women's Tennis Championship, which will be hosted by Cornell at the Reis Tennis Center from Friday, Feb. 6 through Sunday, Feb. 8.

Seeds 3 through 6 will kick off the tournament on Friday. The Big Green, who are seeded fourth, will get things started with a 10 a.m. match against fifth-seeded Brown. Later on in the day, six-seeded Cornell will face Yale, who is seeded third.

Dartmouth has fared well so far during the young 2015 season, sporting a record of 5-0. The Green opened the season with a 4-3 defeat of No. 49 Boston College, which moved previously unranked Dartmouth to 63rd in the country. Last weekend, after moving up a spot in the rankings, the Big Green boasted 7-0 victories over both Boston University and Miami of Ohio.

Sophomore Taylor Ng and freshman Kristina Mathis also sport national rankings of their own. No. 92 Ng has won all five of her matches at No. 1 singles and, paired with Mathis in the top spot for doubles, the 37th-ranked duo have a record of 4-0.
