HANOVER, N.H. – The Dartmouth men's and women's swimming and diving teams will host their final dual meet of the 2014-15 season on Sunday, welcoming Ivy League rival Columbia to Karl Michael Pool.
The men's team will swim first at 11 a.m. and the women's meet will take place at 3 p.m.
Last Saturday, the men's team defeated the University of Connecticut, 177-123, at home, winning their second meet in the past two weeks. Dartmouth won 10 events and was led by junior James Verhagen, who took the 100 and 200 breaststroke and was part of the winning 200 medley relay that touched with a time of 1:31.93.
On the women's side, the Big Green were narrowly defeated by UConn, falling by a score of 166-134. Freshman Taylor Yamahata led with her four victories, three of which came in individual events. She won the 100 and 200 backstroke and 200 IM, while also leading off the winning 200 medley relay.
With dual meet season officially over, the next meet Dartmouth will take part in will be the Ivy League Championships. First up will be the women's team, who will travel to Harvard to compete from Feb. 19-21. The following weekend, the men will make their way to Princeton, N.J. for the Championship, which will take place from Feb. 26-28.
