In the first contest against Liberty, junior Morgan McCalmon tossed a scoreless four innings before the Flames scored five runs in the fifth off sophomore Ashley Sissel and Rumley. Dartmouth had a valiant attempt in the fifth trailing by four but only added three runs on three hits. The Big Green's next two runs came on another throwing error by Liberty's first baseman.

Rumley nearly tied the contest with a single through the left side, but the Liberty defense held Dzienkowski at third. Rumley moved to second on a wild pitch. Lara struck out to retire the side for the Big Green.
In the second game of the day, it was a pitchers' duel between CofC's Hope Klicker and Rumley. The Cougars scored first in the fourth with a pair of runs on three hits.
In the sixth, McEachern nailed a solo home run to cut the deficit in half.
