Funk and Fisch Honored at Squash Team Banquet

HANOVER, N.H. — Senior Mark Funk and junior James Fisch of the Dartmouth men's squash team were awarded team awards, as announced by head coach Hansi Wiens at a postseason banquet.
Funk was named the squad's Most Valuable Player after he finished the season 8-8 with a 6-5 record in the fourth position. He added a pair of wins at the fifth spot. Funk picked up wins over No. 16 Bates, No. 13 Brown and No. 13 Williams.
Fisch was named the Most Improved Player and went 9-4 on the year. He won seven games at the fifth spot and then went 2-0 at sixth. He ended the season on a four-match winning streak. On the season, Fisch won matches against five nationally ranked teams and had four three-set victories.
