HANOVER, N.H. — The Dartmouth sailing team competed in a four races over the weekend and had their top finish at the Barque Eagle Team Race as the team took fourth.
Dartmouth also participated in the Lynne Marchiando Regatta, the BU Trophy and Dellenbaugh Women's Trophy.
In the team race, the Big Green finished in the middle of the pack and was represented by skippers Hunter Johnstone, Duncan Williford, Erik Weis and Nathaniel Johansson. The crewmembers were John Lewis, Connor Lehan and Sophie Kerr. The team finished with an 8-6 record. Rogers Williams won the race with an impressive 11-3 finish.
At the Lynne Machiando Regatta, Dartmouth finished fifth of 16 behind Tufts, Stanford, Harvard and the eventual winners Yale. Dartmouth was led by skippers Scott Houck, Deirdre Lambert, Ian Storck and Charles Lalumiere and crewmembers Lizzie Guynn, Nate Greason, Madeleine Cooney and Abigail Rohman. Dartmouth was tied with Tufts, but the Jumbos won the tiebreaker.
The Big Green had a hard time at the final two regattas over the weekend. At the BU Trophy, the team finished 10th with 52 points and at the Dellenbaugh Women's Trophy, the team placed 15th.
Up next for the sailors are the NEISA Team Race Championship/Fowle Trophy and the Emily Wick Trophy
